Stone Soup Storytelling Institute, a nonprofit organization in Woodruff, SC, believes in the power of storytelling. Stories to stimulate creativity and imagination. Stories to build connection, empathy, and communication. Stories that share cultures and history. Stories to connect, heal, educate, and entertain. Stories to help us realize that we are all humans.
Stone Soup promotes the tradition and performance art of storytelling through supporting storytellers and events that share stories and experiences. Storytellers from diverse cultures and ethnicities. Stories from history, folktales, myths and legends, and personal experiences. Stories from all over the earth. Stories that are delivered through the oral tradition in conjunction with art, poetry, music, dance, food, and conversation.
